OVERVIEW

Many nonprofit leaders struggle with engaging their community effectively in participation projects.

This coaching cohort provides strategic insights and practical tools to enhance community engagement, ensuring your participation projects are vibrant and successful.

In this cohort you’ll learn how to develop and establish a Signature Participation Project (SPP) for your ministry.  We will use some examples for review and a model from which to practice.   By interreacting with both the example and the model, you will gain valuable experience interacting with the concepts which will enable you to incorporate an SPP into your fundraising efforts.

This coaching cohort (group learning) is packed with hands-on practice that will help you craft a usable, customized, Signature Participation Project. Gather to learn alongside other leaders in the cohort to:

  • Identify simple, signature, solution(s) your organization offers in the cause.
  • Clarify ways champions can participate in this/these solutions.
  • DETERMINE the basic structure and DRAFT an SPP idea that can be prototyped.
  • LEARN how to integrate an SPP in an overall acquisition and event strategy.

This cohort is for executive directors, development staff, board members and anyone involved in fundraising for your organization.

The cost to attend is $300 for ALL 4 sessions. We will allow 2 people from the same organization chapter to attend under one registration fee. Contact Jackie Peterman to add a guest or for questions about the guest policy.

Meet Kevin Whitman, Senior Consultant for Mission Increase Specialized Services and a powerhouse in nonprofit leadership! Before joining the MI Specialized team, Kevin led as the Oregon Area Director for Mission Increase, where he impacted over 200 nonprofit organizations across the vibrant Portland/Vancouver area. With an impressive 30+ years of experience, Kevin has worn many hats in the nonprofit world—excelling in development, administration, education, communications, missions, and pastoral roles within both church and parachurch organizations.

Kevin’s academic background is just as dynamic: he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Life Pacific University and pursued his MBA at Azusa Pacific University. A passionate leader and mentor, Kevin brings energy, expertise, and a heart for transformation to every ministry he serves. He calls Clackamas, OR, home, where he and his wife, Kim, share life’s adventures with their three amazing children.
