Event Information

Why?            Many problems exist in the Birmingham metro area and throughout the State of Alabama that are too big for any one entity to solve alone. We need each other to bring the best strategies and resources together to meet the plethora of needs.

What?          Cause Conversations are quarterly gatherings of leaders who are willing to understand the problems within specific categories of need (causes), prioritize solutions to those problems, and offer resources of all kinds to solve those problems.

Who?            Leaders from four sectors in the community: Business, Church, Nonprofit, and Government

When?         Wednesday, November 20 - 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Where?        Shades Mountain Community Church (2290 Tyler Road, Hoover, AL 35226)

There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required.

We are grateful to Shades Mountain Community Church for providing space for us to meet. The church is in the Bluff Park community at 2290 Old Tyler Road, Hoover, AL 35226. Please park in the parking lot on the north side of the church across Tyler Road. Walk across the crosswalk and enter the doors where you will see a Mission Increase sign.

The lunch portion of the Cause Conversations will be in The Chapel on the bottom floor under the main sanctuary. Lunch will be served starting at 11:15 and the event officially begins at 11:30.

Area Director for Central Alabama, Mission Increase

Kevin Moore serves as the Area Director for Mission Increase Central Alabama. Since moving to Birmingham in 1983, Kevin has served in seven different pastoral and Christian nonprofit roles in our city. Kevin is passionate about collaboration and the mobilization of the Church to impact Birmingham through its nonprofit agencies. He earned an undergraduate degree in Bible and Music Education from Tennessee Temple University and a Master’s Degree in Church Music from Samford University. Kevin lives in Bluff Park with his wife, Judi, and they have four grown sons, three daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.
